Soul legend, bishop, father of 21 children and undertaker Solomon Burke (1940) is known for classics like Cry To Me, Everybody Needs Somebody To Love and Down In The Valley. In the 70s it slowly got quiet rond Burke, but In 2002 he had new success with the Grammy winning Dont Give Up On Me.
Solomon Burke is more than just a musician. At the age of seven he was already preaching at Solomons Temple in Philadelphia. Today he still preaches at his own church in San Fernando Valley. Referent Burke also gave a Soul Service at Paradiso. With this special gospel show Paradiso once again fulfilled its original function of church.
