BIOGRAPHY

In 1998 McColgan left folk punk-rock band Dropkick Murphys to pursue a lifetime dream of becoming a firefighter for the Boston Fire Department. In 2002, McColgan decided he could no longer stay away from music and formed the punk-rock band Street Dogs.
In 2003 they released their first album called 'Savin Hill, this album was a hit among punk fans and resulted in a supporting tour with celtic punk band Flogging Molly.
McColgan was still a part-time firefighter but after the release of the second album 'Back To The World' in 2004, he quit his job to go on many different tours to promote the album. In this period Street Dogs had toured with artists like Social Distortion, Millencolin and The Briefs. The album 'Fading American Dream' followed in the fall of 2006 during their tour with The Bouncing Souls.
