The Manchester based band The Courteeners are direct descendants of the Stone Roses, Buzzcocks, Happy Mondays and of course Oasis. They play indie rock with just that more emotion, melody and creativity.
The Courteeners consist of Liam Fray (guitar/vocals), Michael Campbell (drums/backing vocals), Daniel Conan Moores (guitar), and Mark Cuppello (bass). All hail from the Alkrington area of Middleton, Greater Manchester and have been knowing each other since they were ten years old.
The Couteeners' first single 'Cavorting' was released in 2007 by Loog Records. The single immediately sold out and was followed by 'Acrylic' and 'Not Nineteen Forever'. In early 2008, their debut album 'St Jude' was finally released and reached an amazing 3rd position in its first week.
